The technical meeting of e-ΧΝΗΛΑΤΗΣ was successfully held in the city of Ioannina on July 2, 2019 with the participation of representatives of all project partners.
The first part of the meeting took place at the Silversmithing Museum of PIOP at north-eastern acropolis (Its Kale) in the castle of Ioannina. A tablet-based presentation with augmented reality presenting digitized 3D objects after recognition was held inside the museum, while in the museum perimeter a tour using AR was performed.
Then, in the information center of the Lake Pamvotis after the guided tour, the digitization of the existing model of the Lake with the appropriate tools took place, in order to be used for creating customized AR applications.
During the meeting a lot of interesting discussions took place in the context of e-ΧΝΗΛΑΤΗΣ, regarding the exploitation and the interaction between the points of interest. More specifically concerning the visited museums and the rest centers on the Egnatia Road network, were discussed practices and techniques to identify 3D objects in place with the appropriate indications, the way and the place for the presentation of 3D objects along with visual presentation of their usage, and the locations of the models and smart devices that will be installed and will have AR capabilities.
